Alteron is a planet within the Alteron System that serves as the homeworld of the Alteroi, an evolved species of humanoids, as well as a province of the Semerian Commonwealth. Originally the jeweled capital of the Alteron Ecumene, the Semerians invaded the planet, as it was allied to the Corgian Empire during the Semerian-Corgian War, a conflict between the Corgian and Semerian superpowers. As a result, the Alteroi are an enslaved species and are forced into regressing to a primitive species and are stripped from their advanced weaponry, which are now used by the Semerians to commit numerous atrocities.
