Amanda Valenciano Libre was a member and commandante of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), the older sister of Chico and later leader of the Libre Cartel after Venom Snake's death. She and her Sandinistas fought against the CIA Peace Sentinel alongside Naked Snake and the Militaires Sans Frontières during the Bestine IV Incident in the First Aftermath, then Venom Snake and the Diamond Dogs in his Insurrection. Amanda was a cigarette smoker, mostly as a result of a fear of mosquitos, once surviving a potentially bad case of malaria after being bitten by one.
