The Dark Collective, also known by the Second Human Empire as the Hi'kkila Civ'kiolla, are a "Race" of twisted and morphed cyborgs that was created by scientists Til'zionn Ki'ooni and Hiz'cilo Ziz'kine during the war with the Second Human Empire in a brutal war for the past 950+ trillion years which was locked in a locked dimension to prevent the machines from running rampent across the dimensions and worlds. The Dark Collective was also part of one of the known conflicts with the Borg Collective in the First War known as the Borg-Dark Collective War.

The Dark Collective are highly advance, having the technological advancements to almost match the Second Human Empire in combat for countless eons and far more than the Borg. Creating synthetic organic tissue to incorporate with their cybernetic implants to build their numbers. They have mastered many areas of technological development, including interstellar communication, nano-technology, but more importantly, they have a complete mastery of interstellar travel to reach other worlds in short periods of time, yet they are unable to travel between dimensions due to the reality they are trapped in as them locked out.
